Mostly obtained in Saudi Arabia, this collection includes Turkoman and Balouch weavings and embroideries from Afghanistan and Central Asia. I have collected and studied Turkoman textiles while living in Saudi Arabia and on a visit to N. Iran. The Uzbeki pieces came to Saudi Arabia and were sold by pilgrims to finance the Haj (pilgrimage to Makkah).
